How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from your profile settings. Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This action is permanent and will remove all your data from our system.

How do I report a user?

If you encounter suspicious or inappropriate behavior, you can report a user from their profile or by emailing us at [email protected] with details. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

Why am I not getting any matches?

Matches are based on shared amala spot preferences and location. Make sure you've:

  • Added at least 3 favorite amala spots
  • Completed your profile with photos and bio
  • Set your preferences
  • Paid the one-time membership fee

Remember, you get one curated match per day. Check back tomorrow!

Is the payment secure?

Yes! All payments are processed securely through Paystack, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We never store your full card details. The one-time fee of ₦5,000 grants you lifetime access to Amaladate.

Can I get a refund?

The one-time membership fee is generally non-refundable. However, if you encounter technical issues preventing you from using the service, please contact us at [email protected] and we'll work with you to resolve the issue.

How do I cancel a date?

You can cancel a confirmed date from your profile's "Upcoming Dates" section. Please provide at least 3 hours notice when cancelling. Repeated last-minute cancellations may affect your ability to send future date requests.

How does Amaladate choose my daily match?

Our algorithm matches you with users who share at least one of your favorite amala spots and have compatible preferences. We prioritize quality over quantity—one thoughtful match per day based on your location and dining preferences.

Can I suggest a new amala spot?

Yes! We're always looking to expand our list of amala spots. Email us at [email protected] with the spot name, address, and city, and we'll add it to our database after verification.
